OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
SWISS APPROVAL ALBANIA Ltd has set a clear policy of its commitments, and objectives related to its occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) that aims to provide safe and healthy workplaces, and prevent work-related injury and ill health.
The scope and context of this policy covers all functions and activities of Swiss Approval Albania Ltd., in the following activities: inspections for third parties, technical and industrial inspections (for pressure equipment, lifting, lifting machinery, cash control, etc.), certification of certification products (office equipment, furniture, state equipment, etc.) certification of management systems (quality, environment, and health and occupational health at work), certification of external protection and prevention service (physician technique – occupational doctor).
The principles of integrity, impartiality, confidentiality, reliability, independent decision-making, non-discrimination, transparency, objectivity, and added customer value and satisfaction constitute the foundation of Swiss Approval Albania Ltd. The organization seeks to make its service provision activities healthy and safe for the protection of its personnel, prevent accidents and pollution, and comply with the legislation.
The top management commits to:
- Ensure good management of health and safety at work, by providing suitable working conditions, as well as preventing accidents, and making it part of the organization’s culture;
- Lead towards continual improvement for better performance of the OHSMS;
- Report and audit the organization’s health and safety performance as a means of improving accountability and promoting continual improvement of the OHSMS;
- Ensure that employees and other interested parties are aware of their contribution to the OHSMS, and the benefits of improving its performance through effective communication;
- Protect its personnel health and the environment, including accident and pollution prevention and other specific commitments related to the context of the organization;
- Identify and eliminate risks and dangers related to health and safety at work;
- Conduct meetings with employees and occupational health and safety committees;
- Encourage all employees of the organization to express their concerns regarding health and safety in the activities they perform;
- Define and achieve “SMART” objectives and monitor them systematically;
- Adopt a “zero accidents” business mentality at work;
- Hold responsibility for the effectiveness of the occupational health and safety management system;
- Ensure that the occupational health and safety management system achieves the intended results;
- Lead and support people to contribute to the effectiveness of the OHSMS;
- Provide the necessary resources for the OHSMS;
- Respect the requirements of accreditation bodies;
- Identify and manage all risks and opportunities for improvement.
