ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
SWISS APPROVAL ALBANIA Ltd has set a clear policy of its commitments, and objectives related to its environmental management system (EMS) that aims to protect the environment and respond to changing environmental conditions in balance with socio-economic needs.
The scope and context of this policy covers all functions and activities of Swiss Approval Albania Ltd., in the following activities: inspections for third parties, technical and industrial inspections (for pressure equipment, lifting, lifting machinery, cash control, etc.), certification of certification products (office equipment, furniture, state equipment, etc.) certification of management systems (quality, environment, and health and occupational health at work), certification of external protection and prevention service (physician technique – occupational doctor).
The principles of integrity, impartiality, confidentiality, reliability, independent decision-making, non-discrimination, transparency, objectivity, and added customer value and satisfaction constitute the foundation of Swiss Approval Albania Ltd. The organization seeks to maintain high customer satisfaction through the provision of inspection and certification services, and is fully committed to the protection of the environment, prevention of pollution, compliance with the national environmental legislation, and fulfillment of its compliance obligations.
The top management commits to:
- Ensure that good environmental management is an integral part of the organisation’s business culture by communicating the EMS policy to all employees and interested parties;
- Strive to ensure that all interested parties are aware of the environmental impacts of the organization, and understand how they can assist the organisation to meet their needs and requirements in a safe and sustainable manner.
- Provide leadership towards continual improvement for better environmental performance;
- Report and audit the organisation’s environmental performance as a means to improve accountability and to drive continual improvement of its EMS;
- Ensure that employees and other stakeholders are made aware of their contribution to the EMS, and the benefits of enhanced environmental performance by effective communication;
- Protect the environment, including prevention of pollution and other specific commitment (s) relevant to the context of the organization;
- Provide products and services by having a life-cycle perspective;
- Reduce resources consumption, minimize generated waste, reduce emissions, reduce pollution, recycle where possible, use sustainable alternatives in all organisation’s processes;
- Define and achieve “SMART” objectives and monitor them systematically;
- Take accountability for the effectiveness of the environmental management system;
- Ensure that the environmental management system achieves its intended outcomes;
- Direct and support persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the EMS;
- Ensure the resources needed for the environmental management system;
- Comply with the requirements of accreditation bodies;
- Identify and manage all risks and opportunities for improvement.
